A needle valve operates using a long, tapered plunger (needle) that fits into a matching seat. By turning the handle, the plunger moves up or down, allowing smooth and controlled variation of flow, from fully closed to a finely regulated opening.

In addition to flow regulation, needle valves can also function as reliable shut-off valves. Sourced from trusted manufacturers, they are widely used in instrumentation, chemical processing, oil & gas, and laboratory applications, offering precision, durability, and dependable performance.

Needle Valve Supplier in India — Aarya Sales

Needle valves provide precise flow regulation and metering in instrument lines, hydraulic systems, and process instrumentation connections. The slender, tapered needle disc and fine-threaded stem give very accurate throttling control for small bore lines. Aarya Sales supplies needle valves in sizes 6 mm to 50 NB, pressure ratings up to Class 300# in forged and bar-stock bodies.

Body materials: Carbon Steel (ASTM A105), SS 304/316/316L, Alloy Steel (F22, F91), Monel, Inconel, Hastelloy. End connections: screwed (NPT/BSP), compression fitting, socket weld, butt weld, and instrument (1/4" NPT) connections. 2-way and multiport manifold configurations. Standards: BS 5793, API 602, ASME B16.34. Applications: instrumentation impulse lines, hydraulic test rigs, gas chromatography, flow bench testing, and cryogenic service.

Frequently Asked Questions

A needle valve has a tapered needle-shaped disc that seats against a matching conical seat, allowing very precise control of flow rate. It is used for fine metering, instrument isolation, flow bench testing, hydraulic system calibration, and sampling connections where small, precise flow adjustments are needed.

Both have linear motion discs, but needle valves use a slender tapered needle for precise metering of very small flows in small bore lines (typically ¼" to 2"). Globe valves have a larger flat or contoured disc for higher flow capacity and throttling in larger lines. Needle valves offer finer control but much lower Cv (flow capacity).

Forged steel needle valves are available from Class 800# (screwed/SW) to Class 300# (butt weld) in 6 mm to 50 NB. Instrument needle valves with ¼" NPT connections handle up to 6,000 psi (420 bar). High-pressure needle valves for hydraulic test rigs up to 1,000 bar available on request.

Carbon Steel (ASTM A105/A182 F6), Stainless Steel (316/316L/304), Alloy Steel (A182 F22/F91 for high temperature), Duplex (2205), Monel 400/K500, Inconel 625, Hastelloy C276 for corrosive and high-temperature process and instrumentation applications.

Instrument impulse lines (pressure/flow transmitter isolation), hydraulic test benches, gas analysis sampling, level gauge isolations, chemical injection quills, steam trap test valves, cryogenic service (LN2/LO2), oil & gas wellhead instrumentation, and laboratory flow control.

Yes. We supply 2-valve, 3-valve, and 5-valve manifolds in SS 316 for differential pressure transmitters, as well as instrument hook-up fittings, root valves, and miniature needle valves for DP, pressure, and level measurement installations.
