Check valve
Aarya Sales supplies a wide range of check valves (non-return valves) in India, designed to allow flow in one direction only and prevent backflow in piping systems. These valves operate automatically without external control and are widely used across various industrial applications.
Check valves typically have two ports—one for inlet and one for outlet—and are available in multiple designs to suit different operating conditions. An important parameter is the cracking pressure, which is the minimum upstream pressure required to open the valve.
Sourced from trusted manufacturers, our check valves are suitable for handling water, oil, gas, and other industrial media, offering reliable performance, durability, and efficient flow control.
Check Valve Supplier in India — Aarya Sales
Check valves (non-return valves) automatically prevent backflow in pipelines, protecting pumps, compressors, and process equipment from reverse flow damage. Aarya Sales supplies swing check, lift check, dual-plate (wafer), tilting-disc, and piston check valves in sizes 15 NB to 2700 NB, Class 150# to 2500#.
Materials: Cast Iron, Carbon Steel (A216 WCB), SS 304/316, Alloy Steel, Duplex, Bronze. Standards: API 594, API 6D, BS 5153, IS 5312. Spring-loaded and non-spring designs available. Low-NPSH wafer check valves for pump protection. Nozzle check valves for high-velocity compressor discharge service.
Frequently Asked Questions
A check valve (non-return valve) allows flow in only one direction. When forward flow stops or reverses, the valve automatically closes under the weight of the disc or spring force, preventing backflow. No manual operation or external actuation is required.
Main types: (1) Swing check — uses a hinged disc, lowest pressure drop, for horizontal lines; (2) Lift check — disc lifts off seat, for vertical/horizontal service; (3) Dual-plate (wafer) check — compact, spring-loaded, fast-closing for pump protection; (4) Tilting disc check — low slam, for large-bore water/oil lines; (5) Nozzle/axial check — zero-slam, for compressor discharge.
We supply check valves from 15 NB (½") to 2700 NB (108") in Class 150# to 2500#. Wafer check valves from 50 NB to 1200 NB. Nozzle check valves up to 600 NB in Class 600# and above.
Dual-plate (wafer) check valves or nozzle check valves are preferred for pump protection. Their spring-assisted fast closing prevents water hammer and disc slam associated with swing check valves in high-velocity pump discharge lines.
Cast Iron (IS 210), Carbon Steel (A216 WCB), Stainless Steel (CF8/CF8M), Low Temp Carbon Steel (LCB), Alloy Steel (WC6/WC9), Bronze, Duplex, and Super Duplex — with trim in SS, Monel, Inconel, or Stellite-faced as required.
Lift check valves and dual-plate spring check valves are suitable for vertical upward flow installations. Swing check valves should generally be installed in horizontal pipelines only.
