Valves for Power Plants
IBR Approved, High Pressure Industrial Valves for Thermal & Hydro Power Plants — Trusted by NTPC, BHEL & SJVN
Trusted Industrial Valve Supplier for Power Generation in India
Power plants — thermal, hydro, gas, and nuclear — demand the most stringent valve standards in any industry. High pressure, extreme temperatures, cyclic service, and absolute zero-leak tolerance make valve selection critical to plant safety and efficiency. Aarya Sales is a leading power plant valve supplier in India, providing IBR-approved valves, EIL-approved valves, and ASME-certified valves for all stages of the power generation cycle.
From boiler feed pump discharge and main steam isolation to condenser cooling water and ash slurry handling, we supply the complete valve range required for thermal power plant piping systems. Our products carry ISO 9001:2015 certification and are approved for supply to NTPC, BHEL, SJVN, NHPC, and Indian Oil power projects.

Why Power Plants Choose Aarya Sales for Industrial Valves
Selecting the right valve supplier for a power plant project is a decision that directly impacts plant uptime, safety, and total cost of ownership. Aarya Sales has been supplying IBR-approved valves for thermal power plants in India for over 15 years, building a track record of reliability with some of India's most demanding power generation organisations including NTPC, BHEL, SJVN, NHPC, and Indian Oil.
Our power plant valve inventory covers the full pressure spectrum — from low-pressure auxiliary services at PN10/Class 150# to ultra-high-pressure supercritical main steam services at Class 2500#. All IBR valves are supplied with IBR Form III-A certification, hydrostatic test certificates, and third-party inspection reports as required.
For EPC contractors and consultants working on NTPC, APGCL, MAHAGENCO, TANGEDCO, or any state power utility project, Aarya Sales can handle bulk supply requirements with documentation support for all material test reports (MTRs), QAP compliance, and OEM certificates.
We supply valves that conform to major international standards: API 600, API 602, API 6D, ASME B16.34, BS 1414, BS 5352, IS 778, and DIN standards — ensuring compatibility with project piping specifications from any engineering consultant.
Size Range for Power Plant Valves
Our power plant valve supply covers sizes from 15 NB (½") to 2700 NB (108"), with special sizes available on request. Gate valves are available up to 2700 NB for large cooling water intake and outfall structures, while high-pressure steam valves are available in 15 NB to 600 NB for most boiler and turbine applications.

Frequently Asked Questions — Valves for Power Plants
Thermal power plants use a range of valves including IBR-approved Gate Valves and Globe Valves for high-pressure steam lines, Butterfly Valves for cooling water circuits, Check Valves to prevent backflow, and Pneumatic/Electric Actuated Control Valves for process automation. All must meet high pressure and temperature ratings — typically Class 300# to Class 2500#.
IBR stands for Indian Boiler Regulations. IBR-approved valves are mandatory for any piping carrying steam above 3.5 kg/cm² pressure or operating above 110°C. For thermal power plants, all boiler feed, steam, and condensate line valves must be IBR-approved. Aarya Sales supplies certified IBR valves with full documentation.
We supply valves in pressure classes from PN10 to PN400 and ANSI/ASME Class 150# to Class 2500#, covering all service requirements from low-pressure cooling water to ultra-high-pressure supercritical steam circuits.
For high-temperature steam service in power plants, we recommend Carbon Steel (A216 WCB, A105), Alloy Steel (WC6, WC9 for elevated temperatures), and Stainless Steel (CF8M / SS316) for corrosive or high-purity steam applications. Forged steel (A105, F11, F22) is preferred for critical high-pressure points.
Yes. Aarya Sales is an approved supplier to NTPC, BHEL, SJVN, NHPC, and Indian Oil, among others. We regularly supply IBR-certified and EIL-approved valves to major power generation projects across India.
Yes, we supply Pneumatic Actuated Control Valves and Electric Actuated Valves used in DCS/SCADA-controlled power plant automation systems. These are available in both on/off and modulating configurations with HART/4-20mA signals.
